Selection of Measuring Equipment


We will evaluate a component to determine the best inspection method for each feature, and then add it to the part’s documentation. If we don’t have a tool that we need, it will be acquired. Some examples of our selection of inspection methods include:
• Concentricity and perpendicularity • Threads are measured with ground thread plugs or rings
• Internal diameters are measured with digital bore gages with .00001 resolution
• Feature locations(Concentricity and perpendicularity...) are measured on a CMM
• Outside features are measured with .0001” resolution micrometers
• Visual inspections are performed under 3x – 10x magnification

Gage Maintenance Program


Inspection equipment and gaging are assigned unique serial numbers and controlled through a gage maintenance program. All gaging is calibrated and traceable to NIST standards. Annual gage calibrations are performed by an external, independent metrology lab.

In Process Inspection


First piece inspections are performed on all parts. The first piece consists of 100% inspection of features created

at a specific operation, and is documented on the inspection report. Following the first piece inspection, the part receives in-process inspections to insure that the part remains conformant to print and that the process is stable throughout the operation.
Component inspection and metrology is an extremely important element to producing high quality products. Equally important is the Procedures and Systems that a manufacturer uses throughout the entire process.


Final part inspection equipment


Our Final inspection department is crucial for our ISO certified manufacturing, we can perform quality control in final parts inspection by our inspection equipment, and guarantee our parts production match all your design specifications.


Inspection Reports


Inspection Reports are created for each part. The report lists each feature, dimension, and tolerances that need to be inspected. For key or tight tolerance features, the inspection report has an SPC style plotting sheet that we use to record measurements with a high frequency of inspection. Reports are made available to the customer and included with the shipment.


Coordinate Measuring Machine


CMM can collect final parts points data, and then use these database to measure parts with complex shape. With its huge data in three dimension for parameter of various shape, we can inspect our final parts with acceptable accuracy and repeatability.Quality is always at the top of your mind, and by using a CMM, our customers can enjoy higher levels of superiority and precision.


Visual Quality Standards


We also implement Visual Quality Standard for surface finish service, inspect painted finishes and make consistency of cosmetic appearance, this standard also implement in plastic injection molding service. All our production will be inspected by a consistent method with same standard, so we can guarantee that any parts form Runsom will beyond your expectation.


Optical Emission Spectrometer (OES)


This testing apparatus use optical spectrometer to read discharge plasma result, which is unique for every metal element once electrically charged by current. Then we can determine final metal composition finally. There are too many metal alloys and grades in market, it cannot be avoid that some similar metal materials may be mislabeled or fraudulent. Our Positive Material Identification for all raw metal material will guarantee that you will receive exactly what your order.


XRF Analyzer


X-Ray Fluorescence analysis in a non-destructive testing way, it use calibrated spectrometer to analyze different wavelength reflect by each element, then present element types and relative concentrations. Metal, plastic and ceramic will be exposed to low level X-ray or gamma radiation in testing process.


Surfometer


Our surfometer can check final part surface roughness, we use this device to guarantee specific surface finishes as custom requirement. Its portable advantage make our checking process more convenient.
